Any Chance of Incorporating IRC Into Doomseeker?
Any Chance of Incorporating IRC Into Doomseeker?
I use Doomseeker as my Zandronum browser, yet I don't exactly use IRC. It doesn't serve enough purpose to me. I'm the kinda guy that jumps into servers and plays whatever. But there are certain times when I'm like "shit I need to get IRC to request wad URLs or passwords and shit"
I used to have it, but I don't understand it at all. I never used it before Skulltag/Zandronum. Any chance that it'd become a part of the browser, like a messenger tab or something? Or atleast creating a somewhat more developed IRC for less experienced users?
Cheers.

I have the newest one (I believe). It's there, but doesn't work for me. Not sure why.Decay wrote: It already is, and afaik has been for a while. Try downloading a new version of doomseeker.

Doomseeker - a real answer to cross-platform server browser.
Doomseeker dev builds - unofficial Doomseeker builds for Windows.
Gamer's Proxy - a program to emulate ping and packet losses.

Probably he couldn't find the IRC tab.Zalewa wrote: I'm interested in what was your issue.
Either way, I don't recommend Doomseeker's IRC client as it's very unstable and buggy; I much prefer a dedicated client such as HexChat. Just my two cents. :)

I Recommend using Chatzilla

So unstable and buggy that I've been using it in the last year or so without a single crash.Camo Yoshi wrote:Either way, I don't recommend Doomseeker's IRC client as it's very unstable and buggy;
Of course there was this one issue that wiped your window if you clicked on a URL that was legitimate but didn't have "www." after "http://", but that was fixed.

Really? For me just the server browsing function of Doomseeker isn't really stable... let alone the IRC.Bloax wrote:So unstable and buggy that I've been using it in the last year or so without a single crash.Camo Yoshi wrote:Either way, I don't recommend Doomseeker's IRC client as it's very unstable and buggy;
