I am currently using this Mouse (Microsoft 1025)

It has flaws like its heavy with it's AA baterries, lower responsiveness during many years of use, depending on battery life and being wireless. I am poor doomer, I can't afford another still (beside mousepad is currently improvised with newspapers).
If you gonna buy mouse, look on for wired 5-button, spend the money reasonably on the quality and make sure that it's cable is very flexible.

Razer Mamba (2012)

It can do wired and wireless, and all the settings are plug-and-play, you don't have to install the settings manager on a new computer just to get your hotkeys because it is saved on the mouse. Did cost a pretty penny but it's nice.
It is a "claw" mouse, meaning a mouse for gamers who "pick up" their mouse a lot when they play and hold the mouse with a claw like grip.
Also 6400 dpi soooo....

Got a Logitech G400 about 2 weeks ago, works like a charm (But cost about 60$ D:)
Anyway, I think that "gaming" mice are a little overrated, you should just get a mouse that fits your hand well and is reliable. Plus try lowering your sensitivity by quite alot if you have trouble aiming - it will help you ALOT (You should be able to do 180 turns with a moderate swipe).

Got a Microsoft BlueTrak Wireless Mouse 5000. It does what I want it to.

The one on the right. Buttons on both sides, it's ambidextrous. Works well for a claw grip and fine movements on my leather mousepad. I personally hate those "ergonomic" ones, they allow no wrist movement and always feel lopsided in weight.
Cost me about 40$CAD, very good performance, size, and weight. Two rechargeable AA batteries power it on each side, though only one is needed but two lasts much longer.

mother of god. if i where drinking milk i would have spilled it all. but the problem with my mouse is that it's mouse wheel and side buttons are realy unresponsive. this got me killed too often, like if i try to switch weapon it would sometimes give me the wrong weapon.

Mine's a generic Acer mouse that I Sharpie'd a Crosshair on the left button and left/right arrows on the right button for the hell of it. Jack up the sensitivity and be careful with movement and you won't have to "pick up".
