Does anyone else have this issue?

At first I thought this was an issue with Windows forcing its own Display Driver for my laptop. But, I have a feeling its a font issue with windows. Now I have no clue how to fix it, as it affects most install programs that uses check-boxes to choose what components to install. Before you ask, Yes I have tried to Google the issue, but I can't find anything. So.. what do yo?? Here is a screenshot of what im talking about...

On the right, there should be a checkbox to where I can select what to install and what not. I wish I could backup some stuff but.. sadly that is a problem atm. My external drive which is old, is running out of space, that and Its been awhile since I had to backup so everything is still a mess, and everytime I get started, I get distracted, and it never gets done.
