Although this is mainly a bugfix release there are a few notable new features
support of Strife Veteran Edition's (SVE's) extended single player campaign
better handling of stereo sounds.
PlayerThink code has been exported to scripting.
On Windows and macOS the system's MIDI synth is no longer the default. Instead, FluidSynth and a small soundfont are now included to provide better default playback quality...
Although 3.1.0 was released a couple of weeks ago, I figured people on Zandronum might want to know because GZdoom will also eventually support Capture the Chalice (which is SVE's multiplayer part).

Neat. It's a shame no one cares about Strife MP for it to have any sort of following aside from like 5 people. That is one of the reasons I abandoned my Strife DM pack.

Pretty much this. Unfortunately, the Zandronum lacks some fixes and critical components online for Strife in general, and the transitioning from map to map is bad online anyways. Probably part of the reason why the devs pretty much ignore Strife and focus on the Doom IWADs since not many people care about Strife in the first place.

Regardless, SVE's multiplayer will eventually find its way to Zandronum once GZdoom supports it, assuming Zandronum aligns itself code-wise with GZdoom at some point.
