Zandronum

I like Brutal Doom, but it doesn't have that much merit or distinctiveness in the multiplayer portion. I think it's bound to be that way, because Brutal Doom can't involve that many monsters in one scene due to lag issues. Also its main features are fatality and dismemberment animations which limits the type of monsters in the game. Gore effects are cool at first but it gets boring later on.
Complex Doom on the other hand, is one of the funniest multiplayer game I've played. It has legendary monsters, vehicles and power-ups, a lot of different weapons and overall very co-op oriented. It's very addictive and I never get tired the detailed and fast-paced gameplay that involves slaughtering thousands of hellspawns with epic music scores.
It's also one of the most popular Zandronum server for the time being. GJ maker!

Rusian overkill was not made by daedalus ( legendary monsters ).

Complex is not bad but there are better mods out there if you look carefuly.

Tbh I don't feel it's the best wad because I just don't like gameplay only mods.
But don't count with the most popular server, since it always change ( normally most of the players just join the top 5 servers with the most player count)

I used to like the (much) older versions but the new versions are a clusterfuck, especially if you join a server with all the other addons.

The gameplay gets stagnant for me after like 20 minutes, but honestly the stats don't lie; I checked today and there are literally 90 complex doom servers currently hosted [even though only like 5 of them max are usually populated]. Although it isn't being spread around like wild-fire compared to brutal doom, it seems that in zandronum at least it's p. much taken over the survival scene [just like about every damn hardcore survival mod that happens to come out: hard doom, plague, etc.]

Hard doom is more "complex" than complex doom.

These "legendary" monsters are not f*cking legendary, because legendary guns are totally OP.

Launcher for brutal doom just turned to complex doom launcher, great. Complex doom is not actual for me since this year. Play other mods.

Interesting seeing people in here talk against your opinion, and yet don't offer anything in return of what they feel is a better mod and why they feel it's better. I guess they don't want to start a big argument. Well, if that's so, then they shouldn't be saying anything at all then...

I'd say my mod, DnD is far better than any of these. But then that'd be bait. Right?

I don't care whether it ends up being the best mod. As long as it's better than complurorerouxx and RBUTTAALL DOOM and UGHH SO HARD doom I don't really care.

If you ask outside what is the best mod for Zdoom/Zandronum they will say Brutal Doom, because it's probably the only mod they know and want to play on an old game like Doom 2.

The problem here is that you are for the most of the part talking about the addons and not Complex Doom itself, so now the question is "How is Complex Doom without any addon for you ?"

I think Complex Doom by itself is a good mod. But all these addons have basically ruined it.
