The Results of Conspiracies

Hello guys, I just made this thread for the f*** of it. Here you and I will post up some conspiracies and see what the results are. Let's begin with the most known ones.

Apocalyptic 2012
On the day of December 21st, 2012 our world, Earth, is to be cleansed of the human species by an unknown cataclysmic event. This event was predicted by the historic Mayan Tribe, rivals to my Aztec Tribe, and their Mayan Calender.

IMO: Nothing will happen.

Results: WAITING...

Planet X: Nibiru
It is said that on the day of December 21st, 2012, we are to be hit by a traveling red planet known as Planet X, or Nibiru. This impact is meant to destroy us.

IMO: Its always a possibility that a rock will impact us. But a planet, no probably not.

Results: NASA has not confirmed the arrival of such a planet. NOT HAPPENING.

London 2012 Summer Olympics
During this year's London 2012 Summer Olympics Olympics it is said that the illuminati, or terrorists, will blow up the Olympics stadium during the official event, murdering thousands or men, women and children. London and all of the Alliance will cry for war.

IMO: May or may not happen. If so, I blame the government.

Results: IN A FEW WEEKS

So, there are a few for now. I'll update OP as I see more or if you contribute one in a reply.
What are your thoughts and opinions?

I would put money on it that none of those will happen.

All right first off, this whole 2012 end of the world is all a load of horse shit. People constantly reference the Mayan calendar, but forget one huge game changing factor. The Mayan Calendar did not include leap years and ends every 260 days, not 365. So if you actually counted the Mayan calendar, it ended some time last year around June 2011. And yet....we're still alive; shocker.

Planet X? really? I've read 5 different claims about NASA years ago discovering an asteroid, a giant gas cloud & various other fatal debris that was said to collide with earth on variable dates that have now all passed. This one is just stupid.

Finally, the last one sounds like a rehash of Munich massacre of '72 summer Olympics. Doubt they're going to let something like that happen again.

Who keeps deleting my posts? That's the REAL conspiracy. Seriously, reaction faces aren't allowed anymore or something? Lame.

Anyone heard of a self-fulfilled prophecy? That's what I predict will happen. Some local disaster will occur within the late fall of this year, and everyone will stupidly panic themselves to death as a result.

Don't go around repeating everything you read/hear. This is completely bullshit, sorry. The date in 2012 was determined with the non-leapyear accuracy in mind. All the Mayan calendar dates you hear about were already calculated with the fact that they didn't use leap years. It is also believed that those Mayans who interpreted the calendar, called the Haab, also knew the calendar was not 100% accurate and used the calendar as a base, and did not believe it with 100% certainty.

So there is still no reason to believe it since it's not 100% certain. I think you kinda proved his point, which is that the calendar is bullshit :/

I was trying to point out that if you believe the calendar is accurate, then it will happen on the precalculated date, so that little excuse doesn't factor that out. It's either believe the calendar or not.
That and I really hate it when people just spew stuff they heard from someone else without fact-checking.

Also, they didn't say anything about the world ending. They just need a new calender after 5,000 years.

Actually, they don't need a new calendar either, it just goes back to year zero and restarts.

The Mayans were pretty comfortable with the calendar ending because they knew there had been one before.

Except those people who went into debt or sold everything to party the day before.

You posted a self defeating argument by mocking me for supposed randomly spewed facts without sourcing, only to do the same thing in your post. Try not to make a hypocritical reply, otherwise you come off as foolish as the person you ridicule.
