Ahhh...how time is certainly flying by

Just think back in the day, when you were a wee little squirt (or little shit depending on how you look at it), waking up in the early hours of the morning before school to play some DOOM on MS-DOS. Either you had a good time playing before class or your parents came in and beat you half to death for being on the computer that early in the morning.

Looking back on when I first discovered different DOOM engines, I remember shitting my pants when free aim was "New" to DOOM. Everything from Legacy to...well.....Zandronum. Its changed so much over a course of, what....10-15 years? (Correct me if wrong, I don't bite) There has been good things, bad things, absolutely horrendous things....but it was a memory that deserves to be remembered. Remember Terry.wads? Nuts.wad? That one wad that had juggalos pissing, killing jesus, and total genocide of innocent people? That is just a few bad ones (Scarred deep into the recesses of my childhood innocence, like being groped by my old best friend's mom)

All remembrance aside, the holidays are coming up and were now approaching a new year. Maybe there will be some sexy DMs going on, maybe you'll spend it with your man/lady and kids. Whatever it may be, Just remember where it all started for you.

Starting a Drown in Blood server with a custom DEHACKED mod I made and then filling the server with bots ... Good times ...

MagHQ with icd-deh.wad ... iu-part4.wad ... full TDM servers of UDM3 all night long ...

Blegh. Told myself I wouldn't get sucked into another nostalgia thread and here I am.

I still remember freaking out when a friend in 5th grade said they had Doom 2 on a flash drive. I was also playing Doom 3 in the school library like the little edgelord I was.

The most I remembered was playing DOOM 2 on the Legacy Engine in my old biology teachers classroom at lunchtime. Used to let me play it on the projector. Kids be walking in, look up, and flip lids. That and the other kids were complaining of headaches from how I play.

In the 90s, I used DoomCad.
