With his friend, a contact fixed 3 problem of zdoom version of Hexen:

bugfixes
1. The heresiarch shields no longer make them invulnerable - they'll only deflect projectiles, as in the original game. Arc of Death, mace, fighter gauntlets and axe and hammer in melee mode will still affect heresiarches.
2. Correct Hexen/Heretic flight model: view is decoupled from heading direction. Now you can fire on monsters from above and not crash into them!
3. Porkelator spelling fixed."

What
1 can be fixed with a simple decorate patch I believe, no need to make a shady .exe file.
2 I don't fully understand.
3 is an easy LANGUAGE lump patch.

1 needs ACS not decorate. The cubes do most of the attacks not the heresiarch himself and all the heresiarch actions are hard-coded stuff.
Still this is silly Heresiarch DOES get invulnerable to the stuff you listed. The only thing that foils it is the poison gas flechette for some reason.

2 probably means that he disconnected freelook from vertical flight/swimming direction.
Currenly, ZDoom and all related ports act like quake in that. As in, if you look up, you will move up, and if you look down, you will move down, even if you don't want that.
I'm personally dealing with this by binding moveup/movedown to the mouse wheel and scrolling up while looking down and moving forward, thus keeping myself at constant height.
