Late 06 where shitty Zdaemon co-op servers were troll breeding grounds.

^They still are. If you play on [LA] servers at least.

You can switch back to that color in the User CP and then Edit Options. The board style should have the Skulltag Style under "Skullwhat?" themes.

I started playing Doom online back in mid-2005 when I discovered Skulltag Online, which was Skulltag's custom Doom Connector ripoff (much like how ST had their own custom IDE client after STO was shut down) during ST's 95k era. The 96f era is what really drew me into playing actively, and I've pretty much been around ever since.

2006-ish for me, I remember playing some ZDaemon co-op before I eventually found out about Skulltag, in which I joined in on the fun during the 96f days. God damn, looking back at how I played Doom online when I was only 11... geezis I'm getting old.

I still love the 97D announcer to this day.

Does playing Doom 2 on a cousin's PC in 2004 count? (although my interest after awhile became an on-and-off thing)

Then 2008 in Skulltag. (was coming back and forth playing it on binges, hardly interacting with others besides playing servers)
