So for those of you who don't know the CEO of Nintendo has passed away Saturday July 11th. He died due to health complications caused by a bile duct growth.
One of the many legends to those of us who had sibling rivalries in Mario Kart, those of us who enjoyed competition in Smash, and those of us who spent weekends off from school to beat those one parts in Mario games.
In memory of the late Iwata I'd like to ask you guys your fondest Nintendo Memories.

Man, this is very out of left field, and it's shocking.
Man, even though I was born in the N64 era, my first experience was playing Super Mario All-Stars with my granddad. And from that point on, Nintendo was a part of my younger life ( besides school, and other things ). Later on I had moved to the N64 (SNES lost it's power cord, and thus, severing my reconnection with SNES until I discovered emulators later on), played many great games there (Zelda, Goldeneye, Banjo-Tooie, nostalgia.), then sometime on Chirstmas 2002 IIRC, that cube-ass Gamecube stepped in, and I had tons of fun playing Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Wind Waker, and of course Super Smash Bros Melee. And who can forget the GBA nostalgia I had? So many fun times, I even was one of those kids who had link cables to the Gamecube, so Four Swords was fun. I could go on, but I'd need to recollect more.

My fondest Memory had to being being completely obliterated by my late grandmother, even in the last years of her life when I was in high school, in original Nintendo games like Dr. Mario, Duck hunt, and Mario Bros. Arcade port.

Mario Party, Luigi's Salty Mines with my friends.
In actuality, my fondest memory I've had with Nintendo was with some games I had on NES (my only owned console so far, and it was taken away to sell it) which were Duck Hunt, Excitebike and some more I don't remember. I wasn't a Nintendo kid unfortunately, just a PC kid 'cause we didn't have enough money for any console during my younger self.

Not a Nintendo memory, but I have to say, I am kind of sad that the man who single-handedly made Earthbound functional in English and managed to squeeze the Kanto region in Pokemon Gold and Silver passed away.
He may not have been up-front about it, but Satoru Iwata was kind of a programming genius.

Iwata took a heavy pay cut instead of laying off people in the bottom rung of Nintendo's company. How many people do you think would actually do that?
Nobody that generous deserves to die from cancer.
Damn it.

There are few but fewer than that who are CEO of a big international company. He came in from the right side of being a worker first so he knew first hand.
