Feelin' retro

For those born in the 80's and 90's, post some pics of toys, shows, movies and other things you remember from that time. Feeling a bit nostalgic so it's nice to go back and see the stuff we were into at one time.

He-Man: Vaguely remember this show. I remember a show called "She-ra" that went with it.

TMNT: Duh. 1980's/1990's version was x10 better than any of the recent ones.

My little pony: THE ORIGINAL! This one was more for little girls rather than grown men/adults/...Well you know.

Sailor Moon: I'm so guilty of watching this. I wasn't really interested in the story line...But watching people smile, cry and make weird faces on this show was incredibly entertaining for me. Did I sing the intro when it came on? Of course I did. I still don't know why.

Dinosaurs: I never fully understood what went on in this show...I'm unsure to this day if it had adult content in it or not, but watched it anyway.

Toys/Games
Super Nintendo, NES, Gameboy (Original), Sega Genesis. All self explanatory.

Easy bake oven: Putting women in the kitchen at the age of 4 since 1963. I had the exact one in the photo below. I half wonder why I don't have one now.

Cabbage Patch doll: I owned maybe one of these. Creepy? Yes. Pointless? Yes. I never played with it. It just sat in my closet and stared at me all hours of the night. I hated the damn thing.

Some driving game (Tomy Turnin' Turbo): I don't know WHAT it's called (Other than this Turbo Tomy one). I know I had one. I know it's origin is in the 80's. And it wasn't a race car, it was actually a police car looking thing but I have no idea what it's called. All I know, is that it was fun.

I'll make another post soon with more stuff if I remember.

I really liked watching cartoons back in the day when I was younger, like The Mask or Spider-Man The Animated Series. I owned a lot of NES games too, never really had a SNES though... I have a lot more that could post, but I'll have to remember some of them.

Oh man. Where to begin. I recall watching TMNT a lot. Pretty much anything that aired on WB. I recall being really into the old Batman cartoon/toys.

TV Shows:
Rocko's Modern Life, Sonic the Hedgehog, Tiny Toon Adventures, Swat Cats, Doug, Rugrats, The Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Transformers, Batman, Bobby's World, Fraggle Rock, Tale Spin, Dark Wing Duck, Ren & Stimpy, 2 Stupid Dogs, Power Rangers, G.I. Joe Real American Hero. Street Sharks. Pokemon didn't get huge till middle school for me. There's probably more, but I can't recall at the moment.

Ditto. Loved the shit outta that show.

Toys:
Batman toys. Those things were essential for life as a kid for me. At the time, I lived in Iceland. Stuff from the U.S. took a long time to reach the military base, so when they showed up in the BX....they went fast.

TMNT action figures. Street Shark figures. WWF figures. Tonka Trucks, Hotwheels.

Light bright. Oh man. Plastic pegs everywhere.

I had the brick gameboy, the SNES, NES, and a Gamegear.

If I think of more, I'll be sure to update.

Sailor Moon, DBZ, Pokemon (the first 2 series), Doom II, Duke Nukem 3D (still feels nostalgic), Quake, Ren & Stimpy, Rugrats, Cow & Chicken, Toonami (it's back bitches), Stunts, StupidVideos, South Park 1st season, Hot Wheels, first 3 Heroes of Might and Magic, Spyro, Kingdom Hearts, all that crap. Hell, there are some mods from as late as 2009 (one year after picking up Doom again) that are nostalgic to me (like AOW1, early WDI (not that the current one is bad), Jailbreak, Delta Invasion).
EDIT: Ah the memories:

Oh man,

I remember my Sony PlayStation 1. Crash bandicoot is so good. I also had a Commodore 64 and an Atari console somewhere.

Oh the nostalgia washes over me.
Part 1 (I'll post more seeing as I'm limited to the number of images I can use)

Brave little toaster: It's an utter shame Disney doesn't make movies like this anymore. You know, back when cartoons contained trace elements of real life? I learned more about life from that movie than I ever could with today's cartoons.

Wizards and warriors 2: Remember that feeling of sitting at home 5 feet from your T.V on a warm summers night with the controller in your band, slashing through monsters and wizards? Awww yeaaaaaaaaaah.....

Meccano: I got this for my birthday back when I was younger. I'd spend hours on end playing with it. It's what made me have such an appreciation for mechanics today :)

Lego: Who DIDN'T own this? Building interstellar galactic space ships out of a rainbow of bricks was the epitome of imagination.

Myst: Was fun watching my dad and brother play this. I had no idea what I was doing when I played it lol.

Hot Wheels: Nothing's changed here. I still play with toy cars; they just weight 2 tons and sound like amplified thunder.

Toy Story: I cried watching the 3rd movie.

Crazy Bones: There's something magical about getting into fads as a kid. It was cool how some of them glowed in the dark, and others had a metallic look, while others were see through.

Pokemon Cards: Yet ANOTHER major childhood fad that swept the playground.

OMF2097: I still play this actually. Possibly the best street fighter parody to date.
Part 2 (T.V shows)

Recess: Sometimes I wish my school was run that way.

Edd Ed n' Eddy: I couldn't stand not being able to watch this show. I was even more depressed when it was moved over to the cartoon network ( a channel I didn't have) dooming me to miss out upon season after season.

CatDog: Another amazing Nickelodeon show.

Are you Afraid of the Dark: Stephen King, Children series. :)

Rupert: I remember this guy getting inside a time machine and taking an elevator through the center of the earth to China. How awesome was that.

Uh oh!: I miss this game show :(

Angry Beavers: There was never a show that could make me laugh as hard as this show did. Two Beavers conquering the challenge of Everyday life.

Hey Arnold: I think a lot of people remember this show. ESPECIALLY BRAINY * Heavy breathing* :D

AAAAAH!!!! Real Monsters: I vaguely remember watching this as a kid. interesting show.

Rugrats: Used to watch this all the time when I was sick.

Here's a few, can't remember a lot from my child hood or even nowadays but here's what I remember mostly. Doom (1 and 2), DBZ, Sunny D, wagon wheels and of course the old game boy colour along with the N64 I used to play. For some reason won't let me upload images -.-

I never played comp games for ages till I got a game boy, I remeber playing Wario Land and Tintin de temple soliel (top game). I played wolfenstein on my Uncles comp once, must have been about 6, I wasn't that impressed. The first game I really liked was net rogue (I believe it was played via telnet), yeah that was the shit. TV was programmes like power rangers, Hey Arthur and I remember one with these elephant-human like characters that was quite good (not the moomons). So yeah, twas pretty good.

Didn't they end this show with ...
a total ecological collapse of the planet and implied exctinction of the dinosaur species?
Yeah, they did. What a wonderful way to end a (kids) show.

Anyway, I remember that one Conan the Barbarian cartoon. It was short-lived and got cancelled on a cliffhanger, I think. I don't remember it very well but I remember that I liked watching it.

Doom, Time Crisis, Spyro, and a shitton of other PSX games/demos that I don't fully remember.

Ninja, Tenchu and Overboard were ones I was pretty fond of, as well as Hogs of War which is still one of my favourite games.

*edit* oh man metal gear solid, Aladdin, Rayman 2 and some Pink Panther game
