I bought this game named "Will Rock". When I started it an antivirus program popped up and said that it was troijan.
Does anyone know, is this really a virus or not?

There was this file labelled "Troijan +some numbers" but there should be a troijan horse in the game.

You know you will see if it is a virus or not in some time. It is 90% not a virus, but you know you can NEVER be sure about these things, where did you buy it from ?

From flea market? not sure what it is in english. But had the plastic packaging on it and I'm sure that it is not fake. Completely unused.

Probably a false positive.

Remember when AVG used to think Skulltag.exe was a virus? :p

You should probably look up the game on wikipedia or something to make sure.

Already done that, but I was trying to find someone with this same problem. Also googled it and stuff, but had no results.
So I'm pretty sure that my AVG is just messing up. Not first time, sometime when I make my own programs it alerts. And that is 100% false :D

The game could well have some kind of networking functions that the av program is picking up. I wrote an smtp client on win 7 a while back and my av kept saying it was a virus.

Played it, was not a virus but the game itself was great!
I highly recommend you to buy it if you liked Quake 2 or 3
Monsters run bit too fast but all maps are full of them to slaughter. 500+ for each map :)
Weapons are neat, good quality and I especially like the winchester shotgun.

You do realise that there COULD be a virus in the CD itself and rather the game you speak of... Come on, most viruses are well hidden beyond what you might think or not. Is the printing of the game off? is the cd a cd-r? Is it in a different language? if you say yes to any of these.... 60/40 it's a fake.

Also, LOOL at you using AVG. AVG is pretty much that lazy health inspector who just his job half ass and gives a bad restaurant an A when clearly it needs to be shut down.

You have not read my previous posts didn't you?

English language, plastic packaging still on, original CD original case

The alert was coused becose one file was named as "troijan...." and the game has troijan horse.

Im checking it for you.
It's been awhile since i played this game, so i re-installed
the game again.

I think whatever that made the "troijan" name popped-up isn't a virus/trojan at all, at least not from the original CD-ROM.
In the game, on some of the maps it shows a big wooden horse (trojan horse), so i guess its found a MODEL or something like that.

If you have the original CD-ROM like i do, it should not be a virus or trojan whatsoever.
