remember those skulltag days? I miss those days. I think we should all ban together and share our favorite memories. mine was when I first got st, I tried talking to the bots for an hour, thinking they were real people, I eventually raged and quit for a few days, only to find out they were bots.

My first memories of ST consisted of my 14 years old self playing Jumpmaze v6a in fairly crowded servers. As there was no unlagged at the time, it was one of the few mods I could play comfortably without much hindrance. Good memories, thankfully.

when i read Skulltag i automatically remember Armageddon 2 Invasion
when i left ZDaemon and came to Skulltag i joined exactly when Invasion was on the hype, Armageddon 2 and Alpha & Delta Invasion, played them every day like a fanboy until they became boring due to people going stop playing it, now looks like Invasion are kinda dead.
after it i don't have much things to remember since i never was much active playing online since i stay more time modding and testing stuff on GZDoom than playing Zandronum on some random server around

When I first joined everyone was playing that Firefox release celebration deathmatch map.
Yep. When public Deathmatch was a thing, and it doesn't come down to one guy waiting, another joining, then him leaving once he dies 3 times.

First thing I think of when I hear ST is either my first clan I was in, (SR), or supergod's amazing servers. Also when I used to own in Deathmatch.

That was me when I first started playing Skulltag. I tried talking to the bots for like 10 minutes then quit. The owner of the server pm'd me on irc the next day only to tell me how bad he was laughing.

The "player" bot for mspd almost fooled a guy I knew because the stuff he says is so generic, he had to type "are you a bot?"
Also I'll always have fond memories of playing the "so ugly it's funny" Chexified stock skulltag maps using that Chex Doom 2 IWAD. It was pretty much the only way to play chex DM until Chex Pack came out except for Since5's ancient 1996 maps, since lucius' old ZM maps were for Legacy and required 3d floors.
It's how most of us played Chex on Skulltag, we used to run servers with armageddon invasion, cybercrime 3, dwango 5, all with this

·Supergod's UDM3 server
·CLUB> server with mycotimewave and voltanianduel wads
·Jetsons and SpaceDM5
·RJXtreme
·The very first public testing of Jumpmaze (the way how serious people treat it now with records and shit makes me cry). I remember there were huge number of people testing it, then they were gone from serv except for me, Cyber and some other dude. We were the very first people who passed some of JM maps on a public server. "Welcome to the void" at least for sure, it took us about an hour lol. I remind it to ppl everytime I suck on jumpmaze server.
·Wolfygirl drama
·as for clans, I miss these: [SA]vageAssasins, [DRZ]demonriderz, [DC]doomcode and CLUB> ofcourse and ppl who was in it and my sweet [SD].
·as for people, I miss these: Dynamix, Krypto, _Dark, Aerial, Kuchikitaichou, evo, Mastan, Cyberhunter and SDclan crew.

Oh, the time when everyone was noob at jump maze, the first who dun it server that got instafull, and it was actually hard to find a slot to play it D:
The first All Out War server made by the original author and not this new clones (still, some of them are better but...).
Armageddon 2 Invasion, just, the boom, I remembered that I needed to change to 320x240 on my gl resolution because my radeon 7200 + pentium 3 couldn't play it smooth D:
I remember too the first zombie horde server, pretty d.erp, it took time to get people.
Oh and the now resurrected/dead Ghouls Vs Humans, I remember yet the first scary jump that I got on that damn forest with the bots ;--;
Actually, almost all skulltag era I played on a pentium 3 with 1GHz, a radeon 7200 and just 384mb of ram rofl
EDIT: where the hell dr. doctor went, he still didn't sended castlevania part 2 map '-' (I dont remember if he rq when skulltag forum was closed or before that...)

This thread is full of rose visions. I don't miss skulltag's limited stuff :P. (And you can run everything you posted here on zan anyway)

It's more of like, the first thing they did/played when they were first introduced to ST. The first nostalgic memory. I for one was an autistic moron, and the first server I played was Lost Heritage on DBZone, and the next being Drown In Blood. :P

I jumped in to the competitive scene when Unlagged came about. Can't remember if I joined MLK before or after then. First and only Doom clan I have been a part of.
I also remember using a dehacked patch on the client side to allow the use of more frames for 3D model animations. Too bad that was made a protected lump. :(
Oh, and I also was an Administrator for about everything related to Skulltag and early Zandronum for some time.
