Apparently it is going to be available only for pc. I only hope that America finally sees what makes this game series so fucking awesome.

I've heard a lot of good things about Monster Hunter. I should probably give it a go at some point.

Apparently the game is going to be mutliplatform and cross platform.

So the North American version is likely to happen.
Honestly this game needed to be an mmo for a long time. It practically was conceived to be one. I'll have to brush up on my Japanese if it doesn't come out here.

wait, capcom still has money to develop a game? or did someone already buy capcom thus providing money as last time i checked the company was for sale.

The company is not for sale, per se, the shareholders voted to end takeover defense.
http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2014/jun/ ... -purchase/ That makes it purchasable, but not necessarily up for purchase. The company has been generally profitable for the last several years, (particularly since 2011) although in the past year they have experienced a significant drop in sales.
For this particular game, it was in development prior to this stockholder vote. Also, Monster Hunter is HUGE in the east. It's one of the best selling games in Japan.
