Just curious, I used to use windows XP but then I moved to vista, back to XP, and now I have a new PC running windows 8.1.

Yes, I still use Windows XP SP3.

Part of me wanted to stay on it, but another part thought of how insecure XP was WITH support, but it was a good OS

nobody should use windows xp anymore, its unsupported and obsolete and thus is very unsafe to use. and dont get me started on how unstable it is compared to windows 7/8/8.1 let alone lacking importand features that are commonplace nowadays.

unles you cant afford a new pc i would highly suggest swapping XP installs with linux ones, while im not a huge fan of linux its better then using old and obsolete software.

xp is like windows 98 on windows 7 era...
I actually used it, on an old netbook (I wanted to put 7 but now it's sold) and also, on a virtual machine to compile dos code xD

7 here, will not update to 8.1 until that metro shit is gone.

I used XP until it was no longer supported. Now, I use 8.1 with Classic Shell to get rid of that ugly metro interface.

I have an installation of windows XP because there are some things that will just never run on 64 bit windows 7. I don't use it all the time though.

there is a fix for that, its called classicshell. aside from adding a normal start menu it gives you heaps of customizeabilty aswell.

Windows 7 here, yes im aware you can use classicshell...my problem with windows 8 is..is too much user friendly...in a point you cant find some advance feature in the GUI (still here in reg/command line at least)

7 with ClassicShell and EnoS because the default of everything since Fisher-Price XP is ugly. Why the shit did they remove the sorting bar on every folder view besides Details in 7?

7 here. I don't mind 8 too much. Probably due to the fact that I've had to sit through a few windows 8/server 2012 courses. I may be immune to it by now.

On 7 purely by necessity.

They couldn't pay me to use 8 on a regular basis.

Sometimes, in an old laptop with games that I can't move or they won't work.
