Am I the only one who actually has good faith in Epic Games? I've no reason to believe they will crap on the series, all of the UT games were of top-notch quality. I kind of wished for an Unreal 3 to exist, but I most certainly wouldn't mind another UT...

Don't get me wrong though, I'M ACTUALLY MORE HYPED THAN I LOOK, UT IS ONE OF THE BEST FPS FRANCHISES EVER I CAN'T WAIT

A new Unreal Tournament game?! Yes please! I've seen a lot of tech demos using UE4 and the engine is freakin' gorgeous! I definitely can't wait!

It better be good. I honestly wasn't all that impressed with UT3, and I love the Unreal series! Guess all that can really be said is that it'd look Really nice.

Yes, indeed. It's a shame since UT3 has a lot of competitive potential... In any case, I'm very thrilled in the direction Epic has taken to their franchise. The consolefags' tears when they announced it would be a PC/Mac/Linux-only title were delicious. I'm so very glad that Epic has learned from their mistakes of making UT3 a console-oriented game.

My main concern right now is what will the single-player be like? Obviously, since members of the community will play an active role in its development, and each one of them will have a different view on what the story should be, it would be chaotic... I'm sure Epic will find a satisfying medium though, that is, IF there will be a single-player at all, since free competitive games are usually multiplayer-only, though I doubt it because bots have always been a major selling point of the UT franchise, and designing a campaign around a story shouldn't take much effort once everything else (maps and stuff) is set. I personally would really like to see a continuation to UT3's story, and I can't be the only one who's interested in knowing what fate has in store for Reaper, Malcolm and others.

The marketplace deal sounds like a good idea, though I'm not sure if it will give Epic the profit they're expecting, but their main source of income is probably just going to be the Unreal Engine 4 subscriptions anyway. The fact the new UT will be a free game in the first place shows that the game probably has the priority of a side project at best. Not that I mind much, since the people involved are allegedly veteran, hardcore fans, so it won't hurt to believe that another quality entry of this series will come out.

Their idea of the marketplace though is great. It's basically like DOTA2. And that game is 100% free to play and is kicking ass from that with how they run their vision of the Marketplace. Now don't argue about the game itself, you don't have to like it, but it is a working example of what UT4 will be, and that's good.

Idea is great, it's just me about pouring shit into the playerbase because "it's free and multiplayer"... like compare old unreal's playerbase where mostly everyone is kind with quake live's playerbase- elitist crap everywhere- or with dota's playerbase (azazaa fuked your mom )))))) ) :|

Implying the ones who pay for games are all saints... Doesn't dota allow you to mute everyone ingame anyway.

Man, it's like selling DLC, except getting the community to make it and do it for you.

So they want us to voice as much opinion as possible? Why does this sound like someone got fired over at Epic and the new guy has no idea what he's doing? I honestly don't understand, it's Unreal Tournament. The recipe for success pretty much explains itself.
