Any Shadowrun fans here?

Post by Phoenix7786 » Sat Mar 22, 2014 1:32 pm

Hey all. Been checking up on the 2 latest Shadowrun games and I got interested in them. I also started playing the SNES and Genesis versions again. Which brings me to this post. Part of what caused a lot of frustration with the Sega Genesis version was the grinding to get negotiation up to get good money from runs and get MUCH better discounts from all the shit you have to buy and re-buy.

If anyone's interested, I have 3 save-states for each of the classes in the Genesis version, with JUST negotiation maxed out and EVERYTHING else just as is. The Genesis emulator I use is Kega Fusion http://segaretro.org/Kega_Fusion

I've been a fan for a long time now. I'm not the biggest fan of the SEGA version (I prefer the SNES Shadowrun) but the new version has bridged the gap between the two somewhat. The content creation package they have with it will probably turn up some really good stuff. The base game is pretty good too.

Yeah I got SR:R the day that sucker was released, and I need my family to buy the DLC for me (I can't access my US bank account from Africa) while I am a backer for SR:O (just enough to get the free campaign).

I love both the Sega and SNES versions. They both have pros and cons, strengths and weaknesses. To me, they are pretty much the Mario and Sonic of their respective consoles. You can't say one is better than the other, because they try to do different things.
