isn't this worth an eventual legal issue? Unless I'm missing something I don't know or whatever. Yes, this is not the Strife we know, but a MOBA! Completely unrelated to the old game and a different company too.

Not likely going to be a lawsuit over this as there probably isn't any money to be made BECAUSE this new game used the name of the old one. Unless it is clear they are using the similar name to profit from the IP of the original title, a lawsuit is highly unlikely.

Rouge is a dead company so it probably won't be a huge issue.

That and "Strife" is a broad word (it would be like someone trying to copyright protect the word "bad"). I also see nothing about quests for Sigils.

I always figured Nerve would eventually acquire Strife. Guess they just aren't that interested in the title.

I always thought Strife was a good game, I wish someone should've picked it up sooner. The ip has potential.

Too bad this game will die just like any other generic moba which isn't League and Dota.

That did not stop the Candy Crush SAGA crew for copyrighting the word CANDY.
None the less, this issue is nothing to worry about.

You can copyright GODDAMN PARTS OF DNA NOW, a lot of chemical elements are copyrighted, but there are some regulations about words, like you can't call your bread "Bread" and make it a trademark etc. Strife is a common word, though from the other side so is Doom...
Well, I think it has sense if the game would try to use previous game's popularity, but I don't think Strife was a popular game...

It's like "Aeon of Strife" without all the silly "Aeon of" business, because who would ever need that.
