Zandronum

Don't really know why, but I am sort of interested in what kind of age spectrum there is on Zan. With new games it's not really as interesting, but since this here is a 19 year old game, I'd like to know how many old bastards there are here?

I myself just turned 30 which prolly makes me one of the (few?) old timers here. So, if you are young, why are you into DOOM and if you are old, what keeps you going?

It is written by many that no one truly quits Doom. It's that addicting.

Anyway, 19 here. Found Doom when I was 11 or 12 via this... place... and then found Jdoom, then Doom 64 Absolution. Soon after, I googled "doom online" and found Skulltag 96f. Woo.

The age ranges from 15 to 25+. Most fall somewhere around 18 or older, as far as I know.

19, found DooM64 being around 5-6 years old and just remembered of DooM itself 3 years ago from playing the freeware version.

19, Played Doom since I was 2 years old or something on a 286 running DOS.
Dad showed me how to get it done, I learned from that. Although we used Norton Commander instead of the DOS Prompt.

I'm 13
I play DOOM because shooters nowadays are so..... easy. They always tell you where to go, where to look, what to look for, shoot this, shoot that, how to do this, how to do that.........
The list just goes forever. DOOM gives a good challenge all while being in a fast past and preserving your IQ. And whenever you play online, you never hear 10 year-olds screaming NOOBS!!

I'm 18 and found Doom when I was 5. My step dad had his own flat and mum would take me around there quite a lot where I first discovered the play station console which had the PSX Doom with it. Then I can't remember what year it was but I discovered ZDoom 2.3.0 used that port for a while then discovered skulltag.

15, turning 16 in a couple of months. My Dad used to play Doom on the Playstation, which is really what sparked my interest in it.

20, turned in may, been dooming since I was 3, though I had a small gap between the years when I couldn't play Doom because I didn't have the game anymore, but that changed when I found the collectors edition at a best buy, then I started playing again and soon began mapping, two years down the line.

Fifteen, been dooming since I was 2 (Yes, I could actually move and shoot at the age of two) Surprisingly though, I only got Doom 2 three years ago, I never knew it even existed until then. I was playing Doom 1 with the additional chapter (Ironically made after Doom 2 :x)

21 here, well, since my childhood, i always played doom. It's like one of my best memories was playing it by the first time. I keep going because the community (Thanks to SktullTag and Zandronum forums), if them don't exist, i will quit doom. SO.... THANKS TO ALL!

I'm seventeen. Used to play Doom back when I was just 3 years old, and got back into it shortly after I played some Doom 3 (2008). No other FPS game is as satisfying as Doom is to me. Well, so far.

22. Found doom from my dad at a young age, and found ST in high school. Been here ever since.

You got that right... I've got soo much life experients. :P

I first played doom when I was... 3 years old, then found out about ZDoom when I was 10, year later started playing ST... and now I'm 18 :p

24 (25 in August). Been playing Doom when it came out on Floppy Disk. Just one of those childhood games you go to. Plus new generation games are ok but most of them don't interest me (Still gonna cop dat RE6 though).
