I win being the youngest, 11 here! Skulltag for 1 year, doom for 8.
Well, I started computers at 2, doom at 3. And at 5 I stopped. At 7 I played Quake 3, until I was 10 when I found Zdoom. That same day I found Skulltag.

20 right here.

I actually played Quake before I played DOOM.

I was however still playing DOOM but only on it's console/handheld ports.

I always recommend DOOM whether you are just looking for basic FPS or if you want to try making Maps/mods for yourself.

14 over here. I remember playing doom 2 (plutonia or tnt i think) about when i was 3 (2005 or 2006) my dad put this computer (windows xp) on my dresser in my room. i asked my dad if i could play with it. so he put it down on the floor so i could reach the keyboard and mouse when it started up i saw this werid ball looking thing on my desktop (it was a cacodemon) it was doom95 or final doom which seems to be playable i never knew what to do so pressing random buttons seem to have start a level in it. playing it was so exciting to me since i only played games with the SNES or N64. the GFX in doom blew my face off. never stopped playing... funny thing is i still have the DVD!

I'm 19. I've been mapping and modding Doom ever since I was 12. And I found out about Skulltag at 13 or 14, I think.

I'm 18. I have been playing doom on 32x (popular subject among trolls) since age 3 or 2 (got six-button controller at age 8 or 10). By the time I was 12, I was on the Sega Saturn port of doom (Again, popular subject among trolls lol). From there till about December of 2011, those were the only versions of doom I had, but then bought my gaming rig and then within the next month, tested out the various source ports. It then came down to 3 ports, Skulltag (now Zandronum), Doomsday Engine, and Risen3D. That's when I began to grasp the widespread influence of the Doom community, how many WADs there were to choose from (Off-Topic: speaking of which, there are a few that still haven't transferred from skulltag yet)
On the charge of playing the Sega Saturn port of Doom, I find myself guilty as charged LOL

I am 14. I've been playing Doom since I was 5-6 years because I found Doom 95 on my old Windows 95 computer.

When I was around 9 years I found Zdaemon and played it until I was 11-12 years. Then I found ZDoom and after a while Skulltag.

Mapping have I been doing since I began with ZDoom.

Nice and interesting thread Prospekt!

I am 32 - started playing Doom2 when it came out in Germany (think it was in 93) - Skulltag since 2006.

To increase the rate of age I can say that mostly the members of the Doomdaddies are a bit older. Dosum is 33, Kal-El is 31 and Machine gets 30 next year (that explains our clan name ;-)

We will definately continue playing, so perhaps in a couple of years we will name ourselves [DG] -DoomGrannies

I completely forgot that you guys in DD are a bit older. It's nice to have an old OLD clan like yours around <3

By the way, didn't you have a DOOM version in Deutschland that censored the blood? Green instead of red blood if I'm not mistaken..?
There were some major problems with wolfenstein aswell.
