Its interesting that they call it just "Doom Beta" and not "Doom 4 Beta"


i cant reach the website since im at a school computer, can someone tell me if it says what consoles the beta is gonna be on?

PC, xbox1, ps4, ps3, xbox360. PC version is £30, I may pre-order.

so i guess that means that doom 4 is probably gonna be a cross generation release, probably sometime this year or next

on the wolfenstein side of things, i REALLY wish that youtube wasnt blocked here, ive been craving more TNO news

Well thats incredibly vague. they could just be using Doom to hype up TNO and then not even have the beta until maybe even next year :V

Either way, i hope both games live up to the hype

It could be Rage II.

With a good hype machine going even the smallest flaws and missed expectations can spark outrage, esp for a game community like this used to the old game. If they do even slightly worse than doom 3 things are probably going to get ugly. Hell even if they make another doom3 things are going to be ugly.

If you really really need to access sites that your school/uni/country blocks, there's always at least one useable proxy that isn't blocked. Just sayin'. :p


I too am curious as to why they shortened the name. Is this a reboot of Doom1 or Doom2?

Forcing you to buy a DLC to access secret levels, making you pay real life money for certain weapons, etc.... They're gonna butcher it.

In what games have they done this? The last few games I have from them (Dishonored, New Vegas, Skyrim) didn't force me to buy DLC.

INB4 you have to pay to get the BFG900, SSG, and Plasma Gun.
