Honestly, it is sad, but Seth is just trying to end Family Guy to focus on other, BETTER, things.

American Dad is practically kicking Family Guy's ass these days anyway.

If they wanna kill off a character thats fine, but if it's going to be a main character, they could handled it a lot better. For example, you don't ANNOUNCE that you're killing off a main character BEFORE the season, so there goes the surprise. I already knew someone was going to die, so it didn't shock me.

Meh, never really cared for Family Guy. I liked American Dad better. (despite not really caring about AD anyways)

Yup, its sad. But things change. I guess the voice actor was done or something. HOWEVER, rumours say the next season has brian or a look-a-like dog in it. Just rumours, no idea if real.

I think Seth was the voice actor. I find Brian leaving a pity as I liked the rapport between him and Stewie.

I think it's just a publicity stunt just to get more people to watch family guy since it's dying out.

Yeah, the show's probably about to die. I haven't cared about it since like 2007.

Why is this even news again?

It's a crappy stunt pulled by a crappy show.
At least The Simpsons Edna's reallife death has some merit to it.

I like Family Guy, and they should have killed off a different character IMO. Any but Peter (Protagonist, would destroy the show with him gone), Stewie (Evil little baby genius with a British accent? What's not to love?) and obviously in this case, Brian (Detailed character who made a lot of the show). Why not kill off one of the kids? They are weak characters with no real story about them and it wouldn't have changed the show too much. Without Brian, the characters in Family Guy are just a bunch of morons (Except Stewie, of course).

The show's been around since 1999. It's 2013. They'll do anything to get people to watch it now. Sucks, since Brian was one of the characters I liked most. Back when I watched it he brought the witty humour as a foil to the "lol so random xd" stuff.

By the way, it's not going to be that other dog. It's going to be
Image

Vinny is a dog purchased by the Griffins at Quahog Pets as a replacement for Brian in "Life of Brian" following Brian's death.

There, they find Vinny, a "pussy hound" who claims to be 1/16th cat. He wins over Peter by being able to talk and suggests that if he is sent to fetch a stick, he could bring back an iPhone that "fell off a truck" instead. Feeling guilty that he was unable to save Brian since destroying his time machine, Stewie at first refuses to accept the new dog until he discovers that Vinny had just lost his previous owner around the same time and thought he and the Griffins needed each other, and comes to accept Vinny.
