Since Hollenshead is "pursuing other interests", this most likely means that he was fired rather then him resigning, and id Software has truly gone down the crapper.

I was never particularly impressed by Hollenshead at all, so this doesn't bother me.

Well, the very first three words of the article start with "id Software president", so I'm going to take a wild guess and assume he's the king of Pakistan.

They haven't had a great game in about fifteen years!

And, something tells me they are going to hire someone from a company like EA to "Restructure" and "Modernize" the company...

If that'd happen, I'm sure the employees would have to put up with a lot more crap, and that wouldn't help with game-quality.

30 frames per second sure is a terrible goal while designing games...

"pursuing other interests" is a pretty rude way of saying someone was fired. I dont know the story but it would seem he quit
