I found something called Voxelstein 3D, a Wolfenstein remake using voxels. What I like about this is that since voxels can be added, removed, or altered very quickly, this can make for fully destructable environments. You start by stabbing through bars and can literally stab holes in doors and see through them.
It's very basic at the moment, but what is there is quite interesting.

Seems pretty neat, maybe someone will pick it up and make it into something, or will do an entirely new thing with doom.
