Am I the only person who doesn't care for Bioshock Infinite?

Seriously.
I beat the game and I have to say it was rather bland. Apart from the ridiculous conflict theory story, the mechanics just make it another version of Halo with vigors instead of grenades. (The whole race thing was a turnoff for me as well, both ways.) The weapons were fun, but the damn two weapon limit had me losing interest at a rapid pace. I ended up using the handcannon and rocket launcher through half the friggin game.
The gore has gotten stale for me in Bioshock because they don't actually try anything new with it. The game also lacked the "freaky" atmosphere of the previous games.
I don't hate it, I just don't care for it. Am I the only one?

You're not thinking 4th dimensionally!
Kidding, everyone has their own opinions. I for one thought Bioshock Infinite was really amazing. Sure the gameplay was rather stale with only two weapons and the Vigors feeling like reused plasmids. Overall it's the story and environment that kept me exploring and wanting to know more. Especially at the end :S I do like where the game ended up though. Would've been disappointed if ended up as Rapture 3.

The box art really killed the game for me, and before then, I was barely interested.

I am still on the early levels of the game.
But I got extremely excited at first, until I got the shield powerup. Damn, when I think that they finally made a game totally free of regenerative health... that was a major turnoff for me.
Now I am looking at it with "another generic shooter" eyes.
But I can't give a final verdict about it because as I said, I am still on the earlier parts of the game and have just found the girl.

I actually like Colombia, but the damn gameplay is so repetitive. Skyhook, stab, skyhook, stab, goddamit....a patriot. *rocketlauncher* rinse repeat.
Songbird could've made the game for me.

I myself think Bioshock Infinite, looks good, but plays different from the looks. As mentioned, it does feel Halo/CoD-esque with the weapons and such. Me myself, having only seen game plays of it, can tell it doesn't par up to Bioshock. I only played Bioshock 1, as well. #2 doesn't interest me, i don't want to play as a Big Daddy, i was to fear and kill them. Infinite is branching out to other audiences, the creator acknowledges this, that's why there is a two-sided cover-art, they made a vote for it because the original side was made to attract a different audience, the CoD/Halo people. I myself, won't get it, I may rent it. Big may, though. The only games that really looked great this year is Tomb Raider(Epic as hell btw), GTA5(no i wont mention stupid ass SR4), and Watch_dogs. BioShock Infinite failed me.

Just completed it today. The gameplay was kinda stale, but story was good, as well as the grapichs, environment and the characters. The ending is weird to me, but it makes sense once you think about it, and it's good. It's not sequel bait or just an abrupt end. I died a couple of times because I wasn't careful and I rushed like a viking to a roman army.

I started to think this iteration would make a decent mp game as is, then I realized I was asking for more Halo mp. If it had good dm play without the retarded ass progressive unlock system of Bioshock 2, I'd stick around for a while. I have the sincerest of doubts about that though.
(I like SR btw.)

I did not ever hear of Bioshock Infinite until stumbling upon this thread. I dunno if that counts.

A 2 gun limit is pretty much a deal breaker for fun-ness. Any given FPS can have stellar graphics and storyline, then that 2 gun limit rears it's ugly head and everything goes to hell.

I also find it difficult to understand the logic behind having such restrictive gun limit. Maybe it's more realistic this way, and maybe it eliminates situations where you get horribly confused during combat and die because you selected the wrong gun, but it also eliminates any chance to use guns which have less common ammo or are more situation based. I kept having an automatic weapon in one hand, and a rocket launcher in another throughout entire game. I swapped only when I ran out of ammo for both. Shotguns, scoped rifles and flame throwers aren't universal enough so there is I almost never used them.
I wish they went System Shock 2 way, and allowed you to carry a limited amount of guns, but also allowed to increase that limit through upgrades.

Yes the commercials are in poor taste. And they're internet commercials, so in most cases they will repeat and repeat and repeat. That's reason enough, not to waste my time with that game

I hated almost everything about Bioshock Infinite actually, when I first tried it my friend was completely spazzing out over it to no end, especially at the intro cinematic, though intro cinematics have been stunning beyond a games means since late PSX era. After said friend even cried(Someones easilly impressed by a cinematic) I went straight to a store and looked at the fruit, which amazingly looks like they were shit out. Now I'm not saying graphics make a game, but graphics were seemingly supposed to be one of the biggest arguments for this game, leading the player to believe this is a high end game(Compare to Metal Gear Solid Series, where fruits have managed to maintain high detail since metal gear solid 2) and yeah, some parts look great, but not that much better than it's predecessors, it looks like the same old shit, it's just a lot brighter. I will say Hitman Absolutions graphics were worse, since the bloom was so bad Agent 47's head directed light in 4 different directions when out in sunlight, but I'm pretty sure I have noticed some tacky usage of bloom in bioshock, just not to that obnoxious extent.
Gameplay wise, I hate the piss out of the aiming mechanics, I hate the fact that when I move the joystick all the way to the right my guy starts moving his aimer slow as ass to the right and quickly increases speed to fast as shit, it's as if the game can't detect the axis on your joystick, Nobody aims that slow. then suddenly makes an accidental complete turnaround. Like Spotts I too spent my whole time playing executing with the hook(though I hadn't gotten much further than firespell) because the aiming mechanics were so crippled.
This game boasts Historical Accuracy though it seems to be an excuse to just run around saying the N word to get a few shock laughs in the gaming industry. In the end the racism used to keep 'historical accuracy' seemed more like an immature joke. Don't get me wrong I do think racism has had it's place in video games before and still will in the future, games just shouldn't use it as a means to get a cheap shock laugh(It seemed every tape I picked up had some kind of racy black joke hidden in it) at every corner. Every taboo topic in gaming should eventually be approached, but taboo topics still need to be approached carefully, it should be there to make you think, not laugh.
