Kotaku apparently relies on Doom mods for news now. The video I made of Byngu was featured on Kotaku and was called "ingenious". But hey, at least the community gets attention from this!

Nice work showcasing it improperly (using widescreen with 4:3 dashboard, which looks dumb).

ive seen worse. It would help if modders started making their projects widescreen compatible. It isn't hard.

Agreed, still you should have filmed in 4:3.

This is the wrong kind of attention. See the MM8BDM "homie invasion" for what will probably happen if this goes viral.

also this comment made me lol: http://kotaku.com/5990094/?post=58215186

personally I don't think this kind of attention is good at the moment as byngu is still in early beta stages. I feel those websites should have at least mentioned that it was still beta.

As soon as you post it publically, you're asking for opinions on it.

True but big editorials should be able to tell the difference between big professional looking projects and just something one guy made for fun.

Not this one, and you should probably ignore it because it seems they don't even know what they are talking about when it comes to doom mods.

Or at least the relative scopes of Byngu and something like Samsara or Overload. Seriously.

Would have been best if they asked you first..

Samsara could have been great instead of over a wad that was purely made for fun..
