I really hate it when developers.....

Yeah..this is a rant thread. Your most hated pet peeves in video games.
1. Leave you stranded after the end of the game. -
Dragon Age
You've killed the big baddy and destroyed everything his evil (good) ass stood for. You have created a pile of corpses miles high with your awesome powers, watched the credits, and now..........you loiter around in a small area for eternity apparently. Your badass weapons and powers are unusable, you can't go anywhere or do anything. Unless you buy an expansion or extra quests. (This is why I like to buy pc games because you can mod it and put your excessive powers to use. )
2.
Throw you the one thing that defeats your entire strategy at an unavoidable part in the game. -
Dragon Age, MW 2 & 3 (campaign), Mass Effect series, Fallout 3 and NV, Final Fantasy Series
You have your party set for maximum explosions, and the story throws Navy SEAL snipers at you. Not only is it impossible for you to target them, they break you apart as you attempt to reform your strategy. They immediately begin to take you down with a completely unstoppable attack because you designed your strategy to take down the big guys. Attempting to diversify or completely change your strategy only winds up in frustration. Had you known that navy seals were waiting you would have brought your own snipers, but now the game is autosaved right before the encounter. And it has been four hours since your last save.
3.
Give you an unusable BFG. -
Numerous RPGs
You have been fighting a horrific onslaught by the Bad Guy, and suddenly you happen upon the best weapon to murder his ass. But you can't use it. It either has no ammo, not enough ammo, can't be picked up, or can't be used for story reasons. You could end the game in 10 minutes with it, but you can't use it. Most of the time you have to deliver it or blow it up. Why let the players see it in action and stand right next to it if they can't use it? And don't give me those fucking ethical reasons. If nuking the invasion will stop it, why wait?
4.
Leaves out the auto save or save station right before the endless onslaught. -
FPS's mostly, COD has way too many, Halo Series as well
You've been wading through the end trails of your enemies for two hours now, and suddenly a massive attack or invasion begins. There may be warnings in some of these, but the attack arrives at an unexpected or unlucky time. If you die, you have to trek though another two hours of enemies and then hope you have the right setup the survive the invasion. While this one is a matter of skill, it's nice to know that I don't have to start from waaayyy back there if I can't manage it.
So what do you guys really hate in games?

Hm.....
1.I really hate bugs, because, they can ruin the game. They have alot of time to fix them all...
2. Pain-to-the-ass/impossible levels, i know there's difficult settings, but, they need to think in "newbie" players.
3. No-free-roam games, after it's beated, you can't play anymore. This is really boring.
4. The auto-save thingy.
5. Fucking reapeatly anoying sounds, this really can upset you if not in the mood...
6. Low quality textures and badly done facial expressions.
7. No-sense names (a.k.a Call Of Juarez? OMG).
8. A bad telled history. I mean, the games that you just kill, nothing more, nothing less.
9. No carismatic characters. This really can set a tone in a game.
EX: Red Dead Redemption, after John dies, i cryied (No homo. He was a nice guy.)
10. Overpowered "weapons/magic/or whatever that shoots". Another thing that can make you get upset.
Well...My top "10" of most-hated-things by me. Hope you enjoy reading!

In no particular order although must say I hate 4 and 1 the most :
1) When game is too easy on hardest setting because it starts getting boring. (Kingdoms of Amalur.. well glad players made a difficulty fix)
2)Annoying bad voice acting or scripts. (usually both and is in most games)
3)Single player games that require always online or you lose saves, know its for piracy stuff but it isn't fun when you repeat 3 hours for 1 lag spike (Assassin creeds except first one.. diablo 3)
4)none stopping cut scenes, why they have to put +3 and each minutes long.. some are interesting but that thing forces you to skip them.
5)games with characters from 40 games put in one game.
6)When game auto-saves 1 second before enemy delivers killing blow to you.
have a lot more stuff but these are the most let downs.
+ When camera suddenly moves to show something and destroys all concentration you put in the game.

Only real annoyance I have with games is when they're underbalanced and you have some form of regenerative health. If you're good at adjusting to cheap, instant-kill type of enemies, then you're probably gonna have absolutely no problems when they just throw a couple more out there to "blow your mind." Whereas in Doom maps, it doesn't matter how well prepared I am the first time I play a map pack. That damn trap will always get me, and I honestly like that about most doom mappers.

I hate it when PC ports of a console game (IE Prototype, Prototype 2) have a different release date than the console version. This really pisses me off because I'm interested in P2 but I have to wait until end of July to purchase it whereas the consoles have had it since mid March.
Another thing is console ports on PC that are bad or mediocre. Prototype is a good example with the cutscene sound issues AND certain cutscenes freezing the game. That is just inexcusable to make folks like myself who doesn't have an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 have to deal with this crap and knowing by now that the devs are likely aren't gonna patch said issues up.
I also hate it when devs abandon a game (IE Terraria, Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green) and have the communities fend for themselves. It's plain childish especially when there is still issues or bugs in the game.

I incredibly hate bad ports from console to PC, if you're going to move a game over, for the love of god, make it works properly, and give the player the option to turn full screen off in favor of windowed mode. I also hate when companies are charging people $60 for a game that doesn't even last them the day. A few hours maybe, but still.

1. The point of no return (Starcraft 2, Metroid Games, Fallout 3)
I don't terribly mind games with collectables. But I hate if you save after a certain part in the endgame and oops now you can't go back and get what you missed! Hope you have a backup save!
2. When normal mode is too easy, but hard mode is impossible. (Warcraft 3, Dungeon Defenders)
3. When all the cool stuff only happens in cutscenes or uncontrollable prescripted events (Battlefield and Call of Duty)
4. Getting the best weapon or item after beating the hardest/last part of the game. (Zelda anyone?)
Would have been highly useful a half hour ago, is next to useless now.

In my experience Zelda has never been too bad on that. Link to the Past gives you the item when you need it, even the mirror shield (needed to easily bypass the wall lasers in Turtle Rock) and the Red Mail (without it Ganon is suicide), the magic rod (you absolutely need this in Turtle Rock in Link's Awakening), and so on.
The one bullshit thing I can think of though is Link to the Past's ice rod. It's WAY out of the way, and you don't need it until Trinexx in Turtle Rock, and the game makes no mention of this.

1. The way they always drag out games without adding new content in it or it just being really repetitive (Idk if that's spelled right I can't spell today infact I just mispelled can't.)
2. Completely destroy a good game by editing stuff when noobs cry about everything being overpowered, Everything should just be left as it was after the beta, the beta should be all about tweaking before the release. (Gears of fucking war 3 for example, that made me rage majorly)

Let's see...
1. Bugs, BUGS, If you're making a game, please, at last be sure it isn't a bugfest. (Im looking at you, Bethesda)
2. OverPriced games, 'nuff said.
3. When they turn good games into money milkers that are repetitive and suck.
4. Console Ports to PC, kinda because of reason 1.
5. When you have to pay for Multiplayer, even though you already payed for the game itself, specially when it's pretty expensive. (Im looking at you, Xbox Live and Blizzard)
I might have more, but honestly, I'm only gonna name those.

When they dumb down games to the point of retardation for the sake of letting more players suck more yet do well anyway.
Yes, I'm looking at you Call of Duty. You went EZmode after CoD4.

1. overpriced games
2. when realism gets in the way of the gameplay/fun.
3. having over 9000 button combos that you HAVE to memorise (Prince of Persia: Warrior Within)

1. Make Call of Duty games.
2. Get bought out by EA.
3. Are well-known and make copies of indie games to put the original out of business. (Fuck you, Zynga.)

I really hate it when developers...
- Start working on a game, show interesting gameplay, then cancel it or get bored and never finish.
Rest of my list would just echo other's replies. Linking an indie dev friend to this thread now. Thanks!

6. When MMORPG devs take once unique RPG's and turn them into WoW clones.

FUCK DLCS
Everyone needs to stop buying dlcs, make the devs know who's boss. You know that 10 dollar dlc is probably going to be forgettable and short. 10 dollars for less than a 10th of the gameplay the original game offered, while Expansion Packs used to cost about 30 bucks and had similar play time as the original.
Expansion Packs died because we are letting then get away with shitting out dlcs.
EDIT: I admit...I'm weak. I got the day one Mass Effect 3 DLC. But I did my research on ME2(there's quite a few dlcs for ME2) to see if any of them were worthwhile.
