Why though, I know we started wars and stuff, but we aren't a terrible country, we have flaws for sure, but we still ended most wars in the past. Especially the Revolutionary War, we whooped Britain and claimed our country, plus, no country has dared to invade the United State in a long time.

While the Germans couldn't touch England, they did have ample opportunities to make them successful. It was just timing that really sank them on their part. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Hitler did have some sort of respect for the English, and gave them multiple opportunities to 'surrender', etc. He held his ground too much and his invasions ended up being moot. The English have been particularly crafty themselves too, though, and its probably no surprise that even if they were invaded earlier had Hitler been given the chance, the English were best known for one of their revolutionary inventions, radar...along with other things.

Depends, are the countries allowed to bombard us with missiles first before invading? If so the US and Russia could just reduce half of England to rubble with all their missiles and then comfortably walk in.

Even then, in the case of an invasion, it would most likely be a series of strategic strikes rather than some all-out barrage.

Also, anti-missile defenses/batteries.

I tend to agree with this, an all out barrage would probably be a last resort if strategic airstrikes proves to be a better option (and it would, who's to say victors want to walk into scorched Earth if they want resources and then some for a bigger plan.)

Ehh, Germany took over almost the whole of mainland Europe in WW2 and even destroyed London with taht air siege, Hitler lost because of his pathetic invasion of his ally Russia which turned the tables. If not for that, we all would have been fucked. But eh right now the UK might have a stronger army, but Germany is leading economy wise :)

Your 4th point, I don't really understand how you judge our army. I'll be obviously biased but I think our marines are of the highest quality in the world, all be it small in number compared to the likes of Russia or the USA's military. I can't really comment on Germany's military in the 21st centaury since I don't really know enough about it, but their economy is much better than ours, but then again that isn't hard since were just recovering from an economic recession in 2008.

To respond what I bolded, and from what I remember studying Western Europe for about half a year in Italy and the other half in the US, Germany's economy, although completely near-decimated after two wars, and even before then, managed to pick themselves up and still make themselves one of the more powerful countries within the EU, but don't quote me on that because that was about 2 years ago that I did research on that and well, things could change in a little time. It shouldn't be no surprise however if Germany still maintains themselves as one of the more powerful countries from a military standpoint, however, they were, and mostly have been, one of the bigger players within Europe since the formation of the Holy Roman Empire.

It's been a while since I talked, or even bothered, to sit through this, if there's one thing I appreciated in my earlier years of studying its the politics and general discussion of Western Europe over time. Nicely done on your history, by the way, Swiftshot.
