The thing about Tomodachi I can understand, because there was a point in where you could date/marry characters of the same gender in it, but it was considered "a bug" and was removed from the game entirely, which disappointed a lot of people. Seems like a step backwards from the bit of diversity they were trying to promote in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

(And the bonus about allowing homosexuality, is that you cover for Bi and Trans as well if you allow for the clothing to be non-gender-specific. Good example is with AC:NL, because you can wear either gender's clothing in it.)

Aside from that, the shit that Nintendo has to deal with is absurd.

The difference between pedophilia and homosexuality is that pedophiles prey on children, and are usually motivated to hurt them, and do. Homosexuals are just like the typical, socially-accepted heterosexual, except they're well... homosexual, they are attracted to the same gender. That's the only difference. Most homosexuals, like heterosexuals, don't wish to hurt anyone, and are upstanding citizens.

One can bring up stereotypes such as talking in a lisp and being a flamer, but the truth is, most people aren't like that. Then you got Richard Simmons, who's sexuality is none but an Enigma to everyone.

Then you got the people who bash on homosexuals because they got uncomfortable with a gay guy hitting on them when they didn't open up to it. Well, now they know what it's like for girls being hit on by straight guys when they don't want it. The only game that feels like it portrayed the harsh reality of being a modern Amerindian was Prey. Tommy makes minimum wage, is treated like shit by the white people in the area, and may possibly be an alcoholic. It's also probably the only game where shamanic mysticism actually plays a part in gameplay (spirit walking, etc) and isn't just some sort of Pocahontas plot device.

Aye, Prey was fucking awesome. Shame that the sequel will have nothing to do with it however, if one is released.
