No wonders my country is 7th on the list :) Romania is a surprise though.
And why is that such a surprise, hmm? The screenshot below should speak for itself.

This is my new internet connection. And it's only the cheapest one! AND I do plan on upgrading at some point in time.

Generally speaking, Romania has been known for being one of the poor countries in Europe, as part of the Eastern Bloc.
But internet-wise, judging from the results here, it seems that poor is the British

I will play his temporary spokesman and suggest checking the ISP that his speedtest shows. Yes, it's fiber optics.

100 MB/s? Bloody hell, why doesn't the UK get that everywhere? I mean, we're supposed to be a pretty advanced country :|

This seems to be the best I can get where I live, does that mean 76 MB/s download speed or am I mixing things up again?

With the exception that it's 76Mb (Megabit), not MB (Megabyte). Internet or streaming speeds are measured in bits per second, unlike disk sizes, which are measured in bytes. If you wanted to know the "real" download speed in bytes, you would divide the value by 8. Thus 76Mb = ~9MB.
Anyway, this looks like a super cheap deal, though beware the term "up to". I pay for "up to" 40Mb but only get 30Mb because of technical limitations of the technology.

Damn that's disappointing. Still, should be a lot better and more reliable than what I have now

Don't worry all that processing power is going into your very own great firewall of UK.

That's barely faster than dial-up.

well actually it's 6 times faster than dial-up, but that's still really fucking slow
