Vanilla maps with converters makes a lot of fun to play! so dont even say that again!

I'm working in the Shotgun Frenzy Plus mod in my free time.
Yes, I have a pet that helps me to build doom projects, the Pack-O-Daemon, ain't it cute?.

Just because it's not your taste doesn't make it invalid.

Try OMG Weapons and Monsters if you want an enhancement to vanilla gameplay or Death and Decay for something different from Complex :)

When I started playing skulltag I really just played it for survival/coop wads in 07-08 but I remember playing newschool greenwar duel servers, stock deathmatch servers and that ctf wad with railguns and bunnyhopping settings enabled (forgot the name of that wad)

Oh I missed Shotgun Frenzy when that became a thing. Countless fun hours spent into it.

Course I know Wad'o'holic would like to update it sometime, but he's busy with that incredible reelism type mod Zandy can handle.

Speaking of the old days, all I really miss is people from all walks of DOOM meeting on Doom Connector to play every different port. Player count between all 3 these days sits around 200 at peak and 50 at the quiet hours, back in the day it was lucky if there were like 30 online..

I don't dislike the fact that the engine has become more malleable and more compatible, I just don't like how the balance shifted from oldschool style gameplay with a competitive nature to over-the-top newschool with a more cooperation-centric nature. I just want to play some sick coop/survival without all the extra nonsense :(
You are so damm right, mate! Same for me here.
Anf btw - the Doomdaddies would be thankful to play your wad! Next DD survival starts sunday evening (about 20:00 European)
