This sounds like 2008-ish era PC. How old is it?Dragon Mech wrote: i have three desktop computers but i'll save time and room by just posting the specs of my best one

RE: What is your computer's Specs ?
thanks Klofkac for pointing out my typo. i have fix it.
you are right about the year my computer was made in. i got it as a gift from a good friend, but not in it's current state.
when he shiped it to me it had an AMD 2.2GHz Phenom X4 9500 CPU, 2GB of PC2-6400 DDR2 RAM and 1GB of PC2-5300 DDR2 RAM (for a total of 3GB of RAM)and an unknown NVIDIA PCI-E x16 video card. but during shiping, the CPU broke loose from its socket and rattled around loose in the case. the heatsink for the cpu damaged the videocard beyond use and the pins on the CPU were ruined too. it was a miracle that the rest of the computer wasn't damaged. when i told my friend what happend, he sent me the Athlon64 cpu. also, Windows 7 isn't native to this computer. it originally had Windows Vista (EWW! GROSS!). but it was corrupted , so my friend loaded Lubuntu 13.04 on to it.

CPU: i5-4690k @ 4.2 Ghz (Although I'll probably go back to 3.9 ghz @ 0.95v)
CPU Cooler: Phanteks PH-TC14PE (Very cool and reasonably quiet! Costly, too.) (especially because the first one I got had by some miracle a heatsink that fucked up on me)[/size]
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X 2x8 GB DDR3-2133 @ 1.6v, running at DDR3-1600-7-8-8-15 @ 1.535v
Motherboard: Asrock z97 Extreme4
GPU: Nshitia 960 GTX
PSU: Seasonic SS-520FL (great stuff)
Case: Zalman z11 (never again), soon to bePhanteks Enthoo Primo sexy, expensive 18 kg beast and such a pleasure to work with.
(Make sure you can lift 20 kg if you can't assemble your PC in the location you are planning to use it in.)
If you absolutely want to know what mouse I'm using then it's a Logitech G502.
I like my new PC. It was about time to get an upgrade from the 2008 box I've been on for the last six years.

To prove your compressor works, I suggest you try it on your posts and then post only the result.
We all know an ideal lossy compressor would output 0 bytes for your posts, so see if you can beat that.

RE: What is your computer's Specs ?
the the pins were severely bent. some of them were bent completely flat. i tried to bend them back but one of the pins broke. which ruined the phenom. so i removed the rest of the pins and as soon as i can find a decent chain, i'm going to make a nice pendent out of the broken phenommr fiat wrote:have you tried to bend the pins of that phenom back into shape or is it realy badly bend/broken beyond repair?Dragon Mech wrote: thanks Klofkac for pointing out my typo. i have fix it.
