Hello, so i've been wondering, considering some people have made mods with Quake models in it, wouldn't it be a possibility to replace the original doom weapon sprites, with quake models?
Considering they weren't interpolated back in the days it should be possible I guess?
As when you turn model interpolation off in Zan the weapon models animate somewhat the same.
A quake weapon model pack maybe?
RE: A quake weapon model pack maybe?
I'm not sure if anyone's done it yet but it seems like it should be a relatively easy task, just copy the .MDL's from Quake 1, convert them to either MD2 or MD3, define them in MODELDEF, then write the DECORATE.

Well theres this: http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=37369
You can try get the models working on the frames of the Doom's original weapons, however i dunno if the interpolation will not make things ugly to see.

RE: A quake weapon model pack maybe?
That's the thing, I don't want the interpolation I want to be able to play Doom with Quake models that act like they did in Quake, but I'm not so good with conversion of MD2 etc. So I was wondering if anyone ever did do this before, so any tutorials you can recommend for me to try this?Zanieon wrote: Well theres this: http://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=37369
