According to one of my friends, there is a sudden spike of car accidents in the country he lives in. While it is not in any way a scientifically proven fact that daylight savings time is the culprit here, the fact that at least two major accidents happened exactly on the first two days after the shift is considerably alarming.

9 people wounded and 2 killed from just one of these accidents. Casualities from the second one are yet to be calculated.

Very alarming.

Take care, people.

uhuuuuuuh...?

Well it was real windy here in the Netherlands, if that's the country you measured. On my way in the bus i saw big ass trees ripped from the ground, lying on the road and such. Real freaky, since tornado's are pretty much impossible, but this was coming close. I can expect some accidents with this weather.

Yeah, there were accidents all the time. Probably some bad combo. I think when you change to summer time it's caused by lack of sleep, and when opposite? You leave work at the same hour as every day but suddenly you have to drive in a total damn darkness, maybe that.
Daylight saving time is a bullshit.
There's nothing more depriving than finishing work on school, finally having your own time, and finding out it's already dark outside.

No, not Netherlands I measured. Poland.

As far as I'm aware of, there were no sudden changes in weather that overlapped with daylight savings time, thus making it harder to pin the blame on the weather.

Though in any case, being careful rarely hurts.
