The traps weren't really removed, let me clarify: I was actually talking about the flame wheel and spinning flail that were added in the 1.0.6 update, the spikes and darts are still in the dungeon. The only time I found one of the other kinds of traps was in some strange crypt like area with skeletons hanging on the walls.

Experienced my first solar eclipse and lemme say if you're not prepared, it's going to be nothing but a death spree for you. Luckily had the vampire knives which gave some great survivability against what was spawned.

Me and my friends home became a blood bath </3

It was just death after death for everyone. We had no clue what was to come from a simple eclipse. On a side note, we broke about 20 damn demon alters and not one has mythril, wtf? Are we the only sad souls to suffer this?

You probably got orichalcum instead, which is a reskin of mythril which sometimes replaces it.

Use wings. I have beaten all of the hardmode bosses many times (sometimes in pre-hardmode armor) without using gravitation potions, not once did I think "Boy, I sure wish I had used a gravitation potion in that fight". There are many many videos of people fighting them without gravitation potions, just because some people think it's too hard doesn't make it true.

If you are playing as mage completely farm a flower of fire from hell before going hardmode. With +9% dmg and clairvoyance I got 60 damage from it.

Agreed, gravitation potions are too tedious to make. If you equip two wings, it's kind of like a gravitation potion already.
