A Phenom II would most likely bottleneck a 7970.Spottswoode wrote: Ahem...currently: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-DL-DVI-I ... phics+card , that's 10 percent right there.

That's the kind of stuff I'm going to put in it. It'll probably be more like 2.7k than 4k but I'm going to have to buy a bunch of commercial software. So it may as well be 4k.
Also, I'm not planning on buying any next gen consoles, so this computer will need the capability for the next gen video format. Admittedly, it's probably overkill, but what the hell. I'd rather have a massively overpowered pc than the next smart phone anyway.
Is a pci fan a good idea?

a X4 anyway, idk bout the X6 but a AMD FX-8300 would be better I suppose (amd flagship GPU + amd flagship CPU, sounds more ideal)Hypnotoad wrote:A Phenom II would most likely bottleneck a 7970.Spottswoode wrote: Ahem...currently: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-DL-DVI-I ... phics+card , that's 10 percent right there.

Dont buy AMD cpu. They are crap. Intel Ivy Bridges are much better. Intel 3570K is very good cpu.
