Lately, i've been having some epic lag problems. I duno what the hell is causing it, but here is a screenshot. .Image

I think that large negative number is caused by integer overflow, since technically ping time can never be negative.

Hopes: Do you have an AMD dual core?
Reinforcements: midgame Survival joining/respawning
Doom64: Unabsolved: Doom64 + Diablo II
ZandroSkins: a pack made by our community
AeniPuffs: 3D blood and bullet puff effects, free to use for your own mods
Squad Radio: a WASD-based radio chat menu, add your own custom sounds!

I thought a negative ping was caused by a disparency between server time and client time.

That's also possible. Or if windows corrects the system clock during a ping.

That still wouldn't explain his horrible lag though, just the negative ping.

That made me laugh... Either way an AMD dual core = A CPU (your processor in your computer) with 2 cores, made by AMD (Not Intel).

I know that. But I've heard some rumors about AMD dual cores causing problems in seemingly-unrelated areas.

FYI, the ping measurement is completely independent on the time on the client.

From what I can understand, the ping 'result' is sent from server to client as a 16-bit integer (like everything else).

This has a value range of −32,768 to 32,767; anything more or less and it overflows to the other end.
