Chivalry: Medieval Warfare

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is an online game in which the gameplay is similar to games like Counter Strike or Unreal Tournament but you and everyone else is a medieval knight (or archer). The game can be bought on Steam and it's cheap enough. I got lucky and got it for half the price.

There are basically only versus modes: FFA, team deathmatch, team last man standing, king of the hill and team objective which is basically assault from UT. The damage and block systems are pretty good and the game is great fun. You can also annoy other people by yelling in-game taunts at them.

I won't post any screenshots but Kikoskia presents this game rather well. Videos attached:

I found War of the Roses to be the better game. For some reason, Chivalry felt really clunky. Fun game though.

What about PvK II? It's free and it's like this.

PvkII makes little sense with that awful melee combat system and random blocking nastiness and the gameplay is generally boring and throws too many gimmicks at you while silently spouting "hey look this game is fun have fun!!!!!!".

Anyway, I'm glad the AOC dudes are making a full commerical game now cuz the mod is pretty fun and simple to learn but hard to master. I also heard they put some more balance into the fighting mechanics now to change up old strategies of the original and making it more fast paced.
