Well, I decided I'll remake all Doom 2 maps because why not. Currently completed 5 maps.

Keeping an eye on this. Been waiting for an entire map remake of Doom 2.

Just saying, there already is Doom 2 map remake, and it's called Super Skulltag (yes the SST thing that Konda mentioned).

And two other people are remaking Doom 2 at ZDoom forums too right now. Do you think I care? I'm doing this for fun and SST was a good inspiration for me. I just hope it will somehow manage to become better than the other remakes though!

Yeah well maybe I'd prefer a remake that alters the originals just slightly and makes them look better than a complete overhaul.

Because SST is nice and all but it's a little too far on remaking the maps. (I hardly recgonized a few at times, no offense)

Indeed very nice. Such projects are also always nice for mods which dont have own maps.

But maybe its better to stay original for when a new monster gets introduced? (just a thought). I mean a cacodemon and hell knight and lost soul are waiting for map05, revenant comes at MAP06, Mancubus, Arachs until MAP07 and so on - like the original game.
But this would require though that you're sure you want to do all maps.
