I'm making the difficulty a bit harder so some monsters might appear in the game earlier than they should, but I'll try to actually not put each kind of enemies on the first maps.

I like this. Maps are very beautiful and at the same time they resemble a lot original Doom 2. Good luck with it, hopefully you can get to 32 :D

iirc this was on purpose. That's what makes SST a little bit "away" from a "remake", along with all the new stuff imo.

Thats one of the main problem with modern games. Not enough developing time.

I prefer longer developing time and having then the better game and in this case the better maps.

In addition to this it may be that he needs also some time for private things like school or whatever.

More difficulty should also be possible by using more monsters/intelligent placement of them.

Also the original game introduced the new monsters already very early imo. You've seen already every new monster and every new stuff compared to doom 1 already at map07 except for the archvile - which is relatively early with map11 as well.

I also wonder that doom 2 had no super shotgun zombies. Gladly realm667 has them :) Maybe you can add them? ^^ just a suggestion. :)

Sure, I'm going to fight Super Shotgun zombies on my DOOM2.EXE. Yeah, that definietly should not be a problem... Also it's not rude, I'm slow as hell indeed and so I wish I could do this whole thing faster. About difficulty, I could just spam monsters around, but I feel like putting some stronger enemies earlier wouldn't be a problem since everybody's favorite weapon is available on Map02, and so it turns all your 'more monsters' into shitty meatshield that cannot stand for longer than 1 second because you just oneshot everything. Not like we have not seen some of those stronger enemies in the first Doom anyway, right?
