Just to let you know guys, don't be surprised that we have a new fusion server up with Soulcrusher's guns, it's all beta-stuff thou. I am personally trying to port the guns and make them balanced along with other items and stuff for DM ventures. So there might be bugs and oddities.

A bit of an update.

We added some skulltag servers (the game mode that is)
*ALMOST* got all the ctf servers we plan to host, hosted
Thinking of hosting Priv CTF. Just deciding on how password distribution will work.
Thinking of getting a couple of scrim servers up also for those clans who reside on the west coast.

HUGE UPDATE: (oh shi-)

We would like to welcome Jwarrier to the team, hes gonna be a mod.

Also I want to announce that we now have a priv CTF server (yay, west coast is getting some loving)
The rules will be almost like funcrushers however the password is obtained differently.
Spoiler: Rules for Priv (Open)
- Should be 3v3 or 4v4
- Pointlimit should be 5, timelimit 10-15 unless there is universal agreement on a change
- Captains are picked at the beginning, people may cap without randcapping and will get priority over randcaps
- The first 30 seconds should not have randcaps called, anyone who joins in the first 30 seconds or so will override any randcap pick; if one person is up when randcaps is called, the second spot will be filled by the second [map] pick player unless the priv community at that time wants otherwise
- AFK players should star (asterisk *), not starring while frequently going afk will result in a warning and punishment if it continues; when in doubt... star!
- Anything to disrupt gameplay will result in a ban
- ATTEMPT to not shit-talk, but it won't get you banned unless you go overboard; competitive is competitive so anger is not an uncommon emotion and we understand that -- but it is not a valid excuse to go on a full-blown verbal trollraid on the server
- Captains can choose how many people are per team (either 3 or 4)
- Disrupting the captains because you don't like their choice will result in punishment unless the captain does something to disrupt the flow of gameplay
- Spreading the password will result in a ban
- Know CTF first!
- You do not have to cap twice in a row in case randcaps picks you twice
- If no one caps in the first 30 seconds and randcaps is called and you're picked, refusing to cap means you will in turn have to sit that round
- Retarded bind spam has a very low tolerance limit, do it at your own risk
- NO ALIASING
- Anything else I havent covered that violates common sense will be handled on a case by case basis
To obtain the password, you will need to jump on irc in #armada and provide us with you're in-game name and email address. If you are known in the competitive scene or if we feel that you will be able to play in priv CTF, we will give you the pass.

Also, thinking of getting up some rocket jump servers and what not, so stay tuned for that!

Hey lads.

The servers will experience some planned downtime for 4 hours on the 31th Jan 2014 around 8:00 pm to - 12:00 am PST (which is noon for me apparently)

Reason being, we are getting the port upgraded to a gigabit to provide faster network bandwidth.

IT'S GONNA BE GOOD!

Ok I have a bit of an update (bad news)

TheHelten is stepping down due to the fact that we seem to be not busy, which hes right at the moment. I respect his decision.

Now on to the important news.......

I think in half an hour, of this post the server will go offline for maintenance.

EDIT: Upgrade is done!

Now just a bit more information regarding to why TheHelten stepped down. I know some of you are probably happy that he stepped down because of things i'm not going to post in here. Some of you went out of your way to "warn" me about him by either telling me on public channels through to spamming me on PM, and some... well some rather take the piss on another irc network.

I am well aware of his past, however it does not mean he would do something bad. If the warnings were true, I think id know by now.

Anyways next time I hire someone that might of done something bad in the past... instead of complaining to me about that and saying "omg hes bad!"... how about complain to me when said someone actually does something bad? TheHelten actually did not touch anything server related. If anything he was boycotted for his position... and come on, that's pretty childish. I get the point of not forgetting what one did but you know.. cant hold grudges forever lads.

Anyways im going to leave this here, for Transparency. Thats the convo we had before I had de-ranked him before he resigned.

Just an update to advise that we are gonna change a few things.
We will now be hosting survival/coop servers now to mix things up a little bit. We are hoping to get those up this weekend.

Don't forget to use TSPG's TeamSpeak service! Using TeamSpeak, this allows players to chat with other players, from either ingame events or offtopic discussions.

I got some very big news for ya all.

It is quite possible that The Sentinel itself wants to go down under. This means we are currently in the process off making a playground, right in Australia!

This could be a fun adventure. We shall let you know about any updates.

EDIT: A bit more things to do as well.

- Update the website as there is some parts needing cleaned up.
- DMFlag revision for the CTF servers
- Hosting testing servers for 2.0 (as we got some 1.3 testing servers)
- Preparing to go down under of course
- Setting up a place to donate as there was some folks who wanted to donate.

Also note that we are looking for more staff to help out now. Im going to need one more Server Administrator and a couple more Moderators.
