A while ago I changed my avatar to normal using Gravatar, but then it suddendly disappeared again.. idk really what happened

Do we really need this new avatar system? Can we possibly change back to the normal system when you could just change it in your User CP? The old system was much more effective to use.

If your avatar doesn't seem to "stay", try refreshing your profile. In most browsers, you can use the F5 key, but in some they might need Ctrl+F5 or Shift+F5. That will force the page and resources to reload, including your avatar.

You don't need to sign up for Gravatar.
You just need to type your password in again to use the /avatars/ page, which shouldn't be too big of a problem if your browser allows you to save your password there.

If you have suggestions for the avatar system, try submitting a ticket on the Tracker

EDIT: Gravatar is linked to your email address, so if you changed your forum account's email address then it changes your avatar

No matter what picture I choose, big or small, it says it doesn't have the proper size or dimensions. Even my old avatar.

So, uh, fuck Gravatar.

Then do not use Gravatar. Use http://zandronum.com/avatars/

If your avatar doesn't work but it should, would you mind posting it here?

Still says it doesn't have proper size or dimensions.

The maximum dimensions for avatars are: 150x150 pixels.
What if you re-size it to that?

Small square'd it in imgur, and it worked. But that's stupid, other people's avatar are able to appear bigger. Whatever, though.

Erm, you made it 90x90, not 150x150. Not sure if that's what you meant.

Sorry if this is considered a bump, but...

When I tried to apply my old avatar from the list of the old ones, it stated that the dimensions were too big, and when I tried to link the avatar URL to the old one, I got the same error. So I ended up re-uploading it on imageshack, which I tought I didn't had to do. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong?

The old avatar folder will be cleared in the future, so save your avatar and host it elsewhere to keep it.
