Zandronum forum bug?
Zandronum forum bug?
On this forum the 3 buttons "Mark forums read", "Subscribe" and "New Thread" can be clicked, but nothing happens when the mouse button is released.
I found out that there is an *invisible* "New Thread" button in the space *between* the "Subscribe" and "New Thread" buttons which triggers the new thread creation. So I can finally create new threads now.
Is this a bug of my "Internet Explorer 8" (32bit + 64bit) on Win7 64bit or a forum bug? I haven't encountered such problems on other forums so far.

It works fine for me, so it's probably Internet Explorer. It's not really the best when it comes to surfing the internet. Try out Firefox or Google Chrome and see if they work better for you.

Almost all major errors on our forums (and the internet itself
) happen on Internet Explorer.
Instead, please use one or more of the following: Chrome, Firefox, Opera, K-Meleon, SeaMonkey, IceCat(lol?) etc.

If the forums don't work properly in IE, then the forums have a problem because IE is still the most-used browser. Note, I said most-used, not best. You don't want to alienate the majority of your potential audience.

Closest thing to IE support we might see is support for Chrome Frame (info here), but don't hold me up to that as I'm not in charge of web development stuff here.

IMO we should have a banner on the main page/forums to tell IE users to get an actual browser instead of a turd pretending to be one.

IE is good for only one thing: to download Safari, Chrome or Mozilla. If that's not an option, clear your cache and cookies and try again.

RE: Zandronum forum bug?
It's a bug in IE how it handles links. The browser will put the links next to the buttons rather than in the buttons, like all other browsers.
It also adds borders around images with links, which is annoying, but that was fixed here ages ago.
Back when building the themes, after Wartorn made his fork of one of mine, which is based off a much older theme and template than I was working on (More so Incomplete), I done many compatibility checks with all browsers I could run and made sure things would work.
But now I got no control on what happens here.
