Merging sector with 3d floor --> glitch

#1

Post by Dani_75_Hun » Mon Oct 26, 2015 3:37 pm

I am currently working on a wad, and I wanted to make a little booth. I also wanted to use 3d floor as the top.

So I made the booth, and then I put the 3d floor onto it. This made something bad. The booth's walls disappeared, and if I test the map I can see a bunch of HOM effect.

(This is what I'm talking about http://imgur.com/hKtgUHg)

Help? :myam:

you probably merged the two sectors into eachother in a way that causes them to not fit in properly and still exist inside of eachother. Try pressing M in doombuilder and press the sector.
If that doesn't work, check if there are any vertexes that are perhaps hidden around it that make a new sector and remove those.

These two did nothing. However, I managed to make it. Instead of merging two sectors, I just made that sector to be 3d floor.

Thanks, anyway.
