Ambitious ideas, but unsure how to make them reality

I do apologize for always asking questions. I really don't mean to impose on anyone, and I am sorry if I seem clueless. I humbly come to ask about some ideas Ive been thinking about lately. I would love to know how to implement a recharging night vision function into the game, as well as the ability to lob grenades at the press of a button. Obviously, I don't expect anyone to hold my hand and tell me how to do this, but I was just wondering if somebody could point me in the right direction? A tutorial or guide of some sort would be phenomenal. As always, any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Basically you will need to learn how to use decorate, try some of the guides here:

You don't only need decorate but ACS to execute those things.
The wiki will help with basics but you still have to open wads and learn from them afterwards. -or practice-

the idea of the nightvision and the remote grenades has already made, but maybe you can make it different, take a look at wads like Ghouls vs Humans(for night vision) and All our War(for remote grenades), you may find an idea of what you want there. sure, learn a bit about all this with the advises that Hypnotoad and Cruduxy gave you
