Also, there's really no tutorials for basic doors because well ... they're pretty basic. Make a sector that will be the door, lower its ceiling until it hits the floor, put upper textures (for the door texture) on the front and back of the door, and make the sides of the "doorway" have the DOORTRAK texture (and give it the lower unpegged flag). Then give the door sector its own sector tag, and make a line special on a switch or on the door itself, which opens that sector tag.

For a simple door command, you could define the linedefs of the door as a "Generic Door" which offers a basic configuration to your appeal. To get the door to open perfectly, you would want to have the linedefs stick outward.

or just choose "door open close" in the drop Down if you are using... native? doom format.
