Adding bullet tracers/puffs to guns

So Im trying to modify Project 115 - A New Threat to give the weapons Brutal Doom's bullet tracers. How would I import the tracers into the WAD file, and what would i do to the guns code to enable them? Some info on adding custom bullet puffs would be nice as well.
