Zandronum Guncaster Mod Help???

So i'm using Zandronum 3.0 and playing the Guncaster mod, but everytime i pick up a key, it won't let me use it and i have to enter a console command to get the key, despite that it shows i have the key on my HUD. Has anyone had the same problem, or know a fix?
