Zandronum

Hi there!

I'm trying to run more than 10 servers for a gaming community called MPG We're relatively small right now but we're slowly growing. There are quite a few people in the community that I've introduced zandronum to and they absolutely love it. However I need to be able to run more than 10 servers for different megawads for coop as well as various other game types. I will make sure they would all be clustered together with the beginning of each server name beginning with [MPG].

I'm also not entirely sure if this is the correct place to post this? Forgive me if it's not and feel free to move this thread.

Also how do you guys just "Whitelist" people with no information at all about them. Did you guys search for the IP in doomseeker and just whitelist that ip?

Well, I did check with at least one other master server admin before I went and did it, and it seemed OK to both of us.

He had the cluster IP onhand as well.

I got a lot of zandronum servers of many games (Doom 2, Heretic, Hexen, Strife, Mega Man, Wolf3D), but only 10 appears on Doom Seeker.
What can I do to put my servers on a whitelist? By now I have 18 servers and certainly I will set up new mods in the future.

My servers are working in address ac.servegame.com. The IP is not fixed. So, I would like to put the DNS ac.servegame.com in the whitelist.

The whitelisting is done based on the IP address so you'll have to come up with a static IP address to get whitelisted, or request a whitelist every time your IP changes.

I believe this limit of 10 servers is not necessary. It is a problem for those who have home servers. I do not know another port that has this type of rule. =|

So, please, allow me to host 30 servers. The IP is: 177.182.48.106.

You should ask your ISP to give you a static IP if possible in order to host more than 10 servers, otherwise your IP would have changed already by the time the admins whitelisted your last one. It's just not feasible to go through this twice a day.

Exactly! The IP is already changed to 177.182.55.166. =(

I really believe this limit does not make sense. The limit should only be the technical capacity of each server.

Anyway, I will leave only 10 active servers, even hosting more than 20 working. =/

Why do you need to run 20 servers at home? You don't need low ping to play coop, which means Brazil can safely go play brutal doom, heretic, and whatever else on TSPG. It'd be nice to have some competitive servers though.

If your IP is really dynamic and changes constantly then we can't really whitelist because we'll be doing it all day and what we do whitelist will be obsolete quickly.
