How would screwing a router make you banned? It's not like you reset it and you can be banned like that. You might be in a range ban, or are just bullshitting.

This guy was range banned before and was whitelisted. If his router was reset (and therefore assigned him a new IP), his IP may have fallen back into a banned range and will need to be whitelisted again.


Just curious: Can you whitelist a specific range? Or would that potentially create a window for a bad person to come back in? I'm not 100% literate on how IP pools work or how they're particularly assigned.

I read something about this explaining how messing around with router settings (my room mate sometimes has a lot of trouble getting his pc able to stream videos to our console) can cause suspicion that someone is trying to gain access to the servers after being banned.

I barely ever get to play online (my other residence is in the country and I am unable to connect my PC to the internet). And it's hard for me to keep track of what's happening here.

So my point is that I have no reason to troll anybody or cause any trouble if I'm only able to play on rare occasions.

Should be fixed in 15 minutes.
